About

We like music. You like music too? Oh, well then we’re perfect for each other.

Ryan Shook

(Chief Global Executive Musical Strategist) - From an early age I wanted to play music, but I was never very good at it. So now I write about music, which has been proven by science to be much more difficult and require an exceptionally greater amount of skill.

Josh Shook

(Literary Litigation Specialist) - Coming up with witty article titles and catchy ways to describe a band’s sound is no easy feat. In fact, in a recent study involving over 2,000 lab mice, a whale carcass, and a liger, it was proven impossible to consistently write something interesting for more than an article or two. Unbelievably, Josh has defied all odds and effectively crafted over five dozen article titles and descriptions in repetition. His record, set in 1966, is unchallenged even to this day.

Dave Lewis

(SoundSuck Resident Gentleman and Scholar) - Dave has been called an inspiration to generations and an example to all. When he’s not writing magnificent reviews for SoundSuck he’s trying to solve world hunger or bring peace to the tormented corners of the globe. The only thing Dave may be better at than finding and sharing music is telepathically communicating with dolphins and subconsciously seducing women of various shapes and sizes.

Matt Gandy

(Executive Pioneer of Research Development and Directives) - Spending countless days and nights toiling over a computer monitor searching for talented artists can get tedious and stressful; that’s why Matt has employed hundreds of midgets to scour and archive the greatest upcoming bands of the year while he relaxes in his summer home off Waikiki sipping martinis and other concoctions the average man can only dream of. Occasionally he’ll take a break from his travels and visit the rest of us in college to tell gay jokes with David about me.

Jordan Bradley

(Regional Director of Experimental Solutions and Universal Marketing) - Some look at SoundSuck and think it’s always been the massive commercial machine that it is today. Not so. In fact, as Bradley can attest, the early days were hard and filled with painstaking attention to detail over each and every item from punctuation in an article to the massive advertising campaigns he’s now become famous for. The good news is that now that SoundSuck has reached it’s pinnacle of success, Bradley’s lifestyle has become so lavish that it is only rivaled by his co-worker, Matt Gandy.

We’re Hiring!… Kinda… okay not really, but we need help.
